Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025
  • No more updates Microsoft will stop providing security updates, bug fixes, time zone updates, and technical support. 
  • Extended Security Updates (ESU)Microsoft will offer an ESU program for users who can’t or won’t upgrade to Windows 11. However, ESU will be available for a fee. 
  • PC will still workYour PC will still work, but Microsoft recommends moving to Windows 11. Windows 11 is designed to meet current security demands. 

If you’re not ready to upgrade to Windows 11, you can also consider:

  • Replacing Windows 10 with Linux
  • Switching to ChromeOS Flex, but check Google’s list of certified models first
