Pakistani IT Companies Plan to Attend GITEX Later This Month with the Goal of Creating $500 Million in Leads
According to Sajjad Mustafa Syed, chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), leading exporters, startups, and suppliers of IT services in Pakistan will be taking part in the international GITEX event in Dubai from October 14–18.
Syed outlined the significance of GITEX Dubai for Pakistan’s economy and exports, pointing out that the event will bring together 180 countries’ IT sectors, over 200,000 sizable trade buyers of IT services, 65,000 of the world’s top IT executives, and 7,000 multinational IT and related industry companies. “We anticipate generating up to $500 million in leads for the nation,” he continued.
The chairman of P@SHA announced that Pakistan has been named the 2024 event’s Tech Destination of the Year. This comes after P@SHA members participated in the Pakistan Pavilion at past GITEX Global editions with the assistance and coordination of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT), Tech Destination Pakistan, and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
The Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA and Chairman of the Brand Committee, Muhammad Umair Nizam, emphasized that the IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) industries are seeing tremendous growth due to innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusivity.
Prominent Pakistani exhibitors and delegates include Quixas Technology Pvt Ltd, Wateen Solutions, AutoSoft Dynamics, KODERLABS, Dynamics 360, Creation Next, and Bits Collision, among others, according to P@SHA Secretary General Nadeem Malik.
