PM Shehbaz announces 1 million smartphones & laptops for students: Check eligibility here
On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared some exciting news! He announced a plan to give away 1 million smartphones, tablets, and laptops to students across the province. Good news! Students will be picked based on merit.
He made this announcement at a special event for International Youth Day in the capital city. During his speech, he promised to provide loads of resources to the youth of our nation. This, he believes, can help turn Pakistan into a developed nation.
The goal? To offer chances for young people, who play such a big role in our country, to change Pakistan’s future! “The youth have great potential,” he said. If they get access to modern education and resources, they can take our nation to amazing new heights!
The Prime Minister also mentioned that he’d personally support the education of 1,000 agricultural graduates in China. This would be a wonderful step to improve our agricultural production in Pakistan too!
He also revealed that Huawei will step in and send 200,000 young people for IT training and advanced education. How cool is that?
Now, about those free smartphones! The Prime Minister set some basic rules for distributing these devices. He promised more details soon.
According to what we know so far, 10 lakh smartphones, tablets & laptops will go to high-achieving students throughout the country. Exciting! Students from all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan, can take part in this scheme.
Plus, each province has its own programs designed to help students too! How friendly is that?
